frontier fort. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been coveting this for some years. \u00a0I had previous built a fort using bamboo skewers from the grocery store. \u00a0While these skewers are probably more in proper scale for 28mm figures, I&#8217;ve always liked the look of the Acheson Creations&#8217; fort. \u00a0I have really wanted to get my French and Indian War figures on the table again.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_248\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-248\" style=\"width: 491px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9994.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-248  \" title=\"100_9994\" src=\"http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9994-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Aerial view of the Acheson Creations fort\" width=\"491\" height=\"368\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9994-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9994-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-248\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aerial view of the Acheson Creations fort<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>They also purchase the block house. \u00a0This view shows about 85% of the fort, including two of three buildings. \u00a0In fact, there are probably too many buildings to fit within the fort and be able to move figures around inside it comfortably. \u00a0I may purchase a few more wall sections at an upcoming HMGS East convention, like Cold Wars.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_249\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-249\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9995.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-249\" title=\"100_9995\" src=\"http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9995-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"British Grenadiers approach the fort\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9995-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/bucksurdu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/100_9995-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-249\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">British Grenadiers approach the fort<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This view shows a close up of a corner of the block house and some Old Glory FIW Grenadiers approaching the open gate. \u00a0(I don&#8217;t know if Acheson sells gates, but I&#8217;ll be looking for them at Cold Wars or I&#8217;ll make some from dowels.)<\/p>\n<p>Each of the wall sections has a firing platform. \u00a0The platform is a separate piece, which aids in painting. \u00a0I glued the platforms to the walls and supports with &#8220;tacky glue.&#8221;
