I ordered a 28mm Crescent Root (http:\/\/www.crescent-root.com)\u00a0French hotel to see if they are as nice in person as they are on their Web page. \u00a0They are. \u00a0These are MDF buildings that come pre-painted. \u00a0Some sections are pre-assembled, and other sections can be easily assembled and disassembled.<\/p>\n

As it came out of the box<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

First, the paint job is superb — significantly cleaner and more detailed than other pre-pained buildings, such as 4Ground or Miniature Building Authority. \u00a0The doors are all attached with a simple tap hinge that works well enough and allows players to open and closed doors during a game.<\/p>\n

In this picture you can see the brackets in two of the walls. \u00a0Small pins fit within the holes to hold the walls together. \u00a0They slide in and out easily, and they hold the walls at right angles.<\/p>\n

If I have a complaint with the building it is that the floors fit too snugly. \u00a0I think they will be difficult to removed during a game. \u00a0Shown is the attic. \u00a0The second floor will be difficult to reach during a game, I think.<\/p>\n

This building, 28A3 is among the more expensive ones, at about $90. \u00a0It is one of the most elaborate ones. \u00a0Others are cheaper. \u00a0I think the enhanced quality is worth the premium price. \u00a0 \u00a0I see myself order one of these a month, until I complete the set.<\/p>\n
