Quite the Seven Years War (in Miniature)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some years ago, Rob got us all started on Not Quite the Seven Years War, a project involving 54mm home-cast figures and using <em>Charge!<\/em> as the rules. \u00a0Each of the HAWKs made up a country. \u00a0Mine is Bergdorfreuthenheim (Berg, dorf, reuth, and heim all mean &#8220;small village&#8221; or something similar in German.) \u00a0In 54mm, the line infantry of my army was dressed in olive coats and khaki trousers. \u00a0There were seven facing colors that rotate between regiments, the 1st and 8th having the same facing colors. \u00a0The first regiment, pictured, has bright blue facings.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2294\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2294\" style=\"width: 491px\" class=\"wp-caption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Today&#39;s Project<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Chris has been trying to convince folks to recreate their armies in 10mm for use with some variant of <em>Look, Sarge<\/em>. \u00a0As part of his campaign, he gave me a regiment and a couple of guns to paint. \u00a0This weekend, I painted them and mounted them.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2295\" reverses, his coat being the facing color of the rest of the regiment. \u00a0There are 21 regiments in the Bergdorfreuthenheim army, 14 line and 7 light. \u00a0The facing colors are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1, 8, 15: \u00a0bright blue<\/li>\n<li>2, 9, 16: \u00a0red<\/li>\n<li>3, 10, 17: light green<\/li>\n<li>4, 11, 18: yellow<\/li>\n<li>5, 12, 19: medium blue<\/li>\n<li>6, 13, 20: orange<\/li>\n<li>7, 14, 21: light gray<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2293\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2293\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-caption-text\">The entire strength of the Bergdorfreuthenheim artillery<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Artillery pieces are painted in the same bright blue as the facings on the 1, 8, and 15th regiments. \u00a0All artillerists wear black uniforms to hide the dirt and soot of firing the guns. \u00a0Facings for foot artillery are green. \u00a0Facings for horse artillery are yellow.<\/p>\n<p>Once I finish my Russians cavalry (that should arrive soon!), I plan will likely order 5 bags of Old Glory Marlborough line infantry (MAL 102) and command (MAL 101) to finish out my
